Did you know that caregivers may be eligible for FMLA Leave from work to care for an adult child with a disability? It's true! This is a lesser-known benefit provided under the Family and Medical Leave Act, and you can click here for an info sheet from the US Federal Department of Labor that gets into the details.

The film "Champions" is currently showing at the AMC Kitsap 8 theater in the Silverdale Mall, the Roxy Theater in Bremerton, and the Historic Lynwood Theater on Bainbridge. This American remake of a 2018 Spanish film "Campeones" follows a team of basketball athletes as they compete in the Special Olympics with help from their new coach, played by Woody Harrelson. While it has mixed reviews from critics and disability rights advocates, we're excited to see actors who have I/DD getting more roles in feature films. Here's to Madison Tevlin, Joshua Felder, Kevin Iannucci, Ashton Gunning, Matthew Von Der Ahe, Tom Sinclair, James Day Keith, Casey Metcalfe, and Bradley Edens lighting up the silver screen with their star power.
