Vitalize Kitsap Neighborhood

Vitalize Kitsap Neighborhood (VKN) is a volunteer-led group of committed community members who care about people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Vitalize Kitsap Neighborhood, formerly Stephens Neighborhood, sponsors free educational and social family fun events once a month at the Village Green Community Center in Kingston on the third Saturday of the month at 10:30 AM. We believe our schools do a wonderful job supporting special needs students, yet when students “age out” of the educational system, they have limited resources in Kitsap County that provide opportunities for continued learning, building and sustaining meaningful relationships, and lifelong skill development. VKN is not a parents-only organization; to be effective we rely on the talent and dedication of varied members of our community who recognize that when everyone is welcome, we all benefit.
