VITALIZE KITSAP

Empowering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead lives of meaning and self-determination

Vitalize Kitsap was co-founded by Holly Aardal and Deb Payne, and its story began in 2000. Over the years, this community evolved, leading to the birth of Island Time Activities (ITA) in 2011.

As the years passed the size, scale, and scope of the programs grew beyond serving Bainbridge Island. In 2020, the name was changed to "Vitalize Kitsap" to symbolize our expanded reach to encompass the entirety of Kitsap County. Today, Vitalize Kitsap proudly serves individuals of all genders, both teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With a heart full of gratitude, we eagerly anticipate another remarkable 20 years of service to this extraordinary community.
