At Vitalize Kitsap, we know that everyone benefits when our communities include people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities as active, equally valued and respected participants and citizens. So we were very excited to discover the Spread the Word >> Inclusion movement that says, "Our goal is to disrupt this cycle of isolation and exclusion with grassroots action for inclusion."

Here's the Pledge for Inclusion that Vitalize Kitsap submitted:
"We pledge to spread inclusion through our everyday participation in our community as people who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. We know that we have inherent dignity and value as active and equal members of our community. We show up for our community as friends, neighbors, coworkers, volunteers, artists, athletes, and compassionate citizens."
What will you pledge? We trust that we have your support, and that you'd like to live with us in a community where Vitalize Kitsap members and other people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are included in your friendships, neighborhoods, workplaces, public spaces, and daily lives. We're excited to join you in all of these ways and places!
